It rained and poured all day before this family’s session and I almost made the call to reschedule. I’m so glad I didn’t! This stellar family agreed to wait until the rain stopped before going out to the beach and we were rewarded with one of the best nights of the week. Cloudy days like this always result in stunning photos – Not as much squinting and no harsh shadows. The world’s own natural soft box!
We began their session up in the dunes, as usual, but this time turned away from the water making use of the smaller dunes on the other side. It was high tide, so not much walking to do to get down to the water for our more candid shots of the family. I always include both posed and candid shots to give my clients more to choose from and allow their emotions to shine in their portraits. As this family was from Ohio, we couldn’t forget the iconic O-H-I-O posed photo!
