There is something special about photographing an extended family, but it’s even better when there is a surprise proposal!

 

This has happened a few times this year, and every time I feel almost as nervous as the guy proposing! It’s magical to witness such a special moment between a couple.

 

For this family, the Grandma had already had all of the arrangements in order for their session when she emailed me out of the blue that her son was proposing during their vacation. After going through all the details, we decided that he would get down on one knee as I took their couple pictures down by the water.
