1. Booking & Planning
After submitting your inquiry and selecting your preferred date, a non-refundable deposit is required to secure your session. You will receive detailed outfit recommendations, session preparation tips, important reminders, and answers to frequently asked questions. The day before your session, you will receive an email reconfirming session details to ensure a seamless stress-free experience.

We had a photo shoot with Maureen last August. I interviewed multiple photographers and ultimately felt Maureen fit the bill best. Incredible decision! Maureen was able to work with our schedule, worked with the quickly changing weather, and was SOOO good with our kiddos. Grandson was OVER taking pictures before we even started and Maureen was excellent at teasing cooperation from him, creatively using the landscape and sky for stunning shots and coaxing smiles from us all. As the mother and grandmother member of our family vacation to Hilton Head, I really was looking forward to having beach photos taken so I could hang a recent picture of my beloved family in our home. A photo session is not always something that every family member is eager to accomplish, but Maureen made the experience a pleasant experience despite the evening chilly temperatures that were a bit uncomfortable wearing only our summer clothes. She efficiently and creatively captured our family in both dune and beach scenes and we have a myriad of poses and groupings to choose from! She was careful to insure proper lighting, no shadows, no straggling hair pieces in our faces and open eyes! I am so happy with virtually all of our photos and I am very excited to frame one for a special spot I have already selected on our wall that can be viewed as friends enter our home! WHEN SHOULD I CONTACT YOU TO BOOK A SESSION?
With over 25 years of experience photographing families on Hilton Head Island, Maureen’s calendar often fills several months in advance, especially during the summer months and holiday season. She recommends booking one to two months ahead to ensure availability during your preferred travel dates.
WHAT HAPPENS IF IT'S RAINING THE DAY OF OUR SESSION?
Maureen recommends beginning with one patterned piece, such as a floral dress or plaid shirt, and coordinating from there with soft, complementary colors. The beach is a neutral setting, so adding color and texture brings warmth and personality to your images. Choose outfits that feel like you and reflect your family’s natural style.
What should we wear to our session?
Maureen watches the weather closely, and if it looks like it will be rained out, will contact you to see if it would be possible to do your session earlier in the day (assuming it is cloudy). If that doesn’t work, she will reschedule it for a mutually convenient time before you have to leave the island.
Within one week of your session, you will receive an email with the the link to your online gallery where you can view and download your photos as well as select your 11x14 mounted portrait. Your mounted portrait will be delivered within four weeks of your selection.
